Presumably everyone should know that the ductless self-cleaning fume hood plays an inestimable role in the laboratory, and technicians often use the ventilation system it provides to avoid related hazards. However, for the fume hood to provide this important protection, technicians and laboratory workers need to use it properly. Today we will talk to you about the key points of using the ductless self-purification fume hood in the laboratory.
1. Ensure that the equipment exhaust is normal
       (1) Before starting work, the experimental staff should always ensure that the exhaust is normal. This avoids the fume hood not operating effectively if the ventilation system does not work properly.
       (2) When ensuring that the exhaust is working, it is necessary to check the baffle for any obstructions that impede the airflow. to ensure uniform airflow for increased efficiency.
       (3) If the equipment contains an airflow monitor, the status of the monitor should be checked regularly to ensure its normal operation.

2. Minimize air disturbance
Airflow disturbances can reduce the efficiency of the fume hood. We are in the laboratory: (1) movement of people; (2) opening and closing of doors; (3) windows; (4) supply air diffusers; Cabinets should be placed where cross-air flow can be avoided.
3. Good operating procedures
Any equipment can only perform its full function if it follows its correct operating procedures during use.
      (1) In the process of using the equipment for the experiment, the device that needs to be involved in the experiment should be placed in the place where the operation port of the cabinet is larger than 15mm in the fume hood, so as to prevent the harmful substances from overflowing the fume hood.
      (2) After the experiment is completed, the equipment should not be turned off immediately, and it should be turned off after 3-5 minutes.
      (3) The ductless self-purification fume hood in the laboratory cannot be used as a storage cabinet.
      (4) If the instrument with high temperature is used in the equipment, (such as electric furnace, etc.), it should not be stored and opened for a long time to avoid potential safety hazards.
4. Maintenance work can not be less
      (1) The interior of the ductless self-purification fume hood in the laboratory should be cleaned and cleaned regularly. If there is any damage, it should be repaired in time to ensure that the inner surface of the cabinet is clean and airtight.
      (2) Fume hoods, air ducts and accessories need to be measured and adjusted at regular intervals, and related accessories should be regularly maintained.
      (3) The main material board surface of the equipment needs to be cleaned and wiped frequently, and the board surface should be kept clean. Smooth surfaces such as epoxy countertops can be wiped gently with a flannel or dry cloth.
      (4) Regularly measure and adjust the equipment to make it operate as designed.
      (5) Be sure to check the clean air fume hood filters regularly to make sure they are clean or if they need to be replaced. When cleaning, the carbonizer plays an important role in removing harmful fumes and particles from the laboratory.
Proper operation and maintenance are key to ensuring that laboratory ductless clean-air fume hoods continue to function effectively, maintain the longevity of the equipment, and protect technicians from hazardous reactions and toxic fumes.
