In the chemical laboratory, various harmful gases, odors, moisture and flammable, explosive and corrosive substances are generated during the experimental operation. 1. Before use
1. Check whether the power supply, water supply and drainage, gas and other switches and pipelines are normal;
2. Turn on the lighting equipment to see if the light source and the inside of the cabinet are normal; turn on the exhaust fan and listen to whether the operation is normal;
3. Check the monitor frequently and find out the fault and eliminate it in time.
4. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and, if there is a possibility of an explosion, use a protective face shield.
5. It is advisable to open the operation window to 100-150 mm away from the table, and it can be used as a barrier at critical moments.

2. In use
1. Perform 10 minutes of supplementary air every 2 hours (that is, open windows for ventilation). If the use time exceeds 5 hours, open the windows to avoid negative pressure in the room;
2. Equipment and chemicals should be placed in the center of the partition near the rear of the fume hood.
3. Keep the operating window of the fume hood clean;
4. Don't move the operation window suddenly, move slowly after the end.
5. It is forbidden to put your head into the fume hood to operate or check during the experiment.
6. It is forbidden to put the power strip or wire into the fume hood, and cut off the electricity when it is dangerous.
7. Do not use a fume hood sink as a waste disposal area.
8. The chemical laboratory fume hood is prohibited from doing biological-related experiments; the fume hood is prohibited from doing experiments with substances prohibited by the state.

3. After use
1. It should continue to run for a few minutes before shutting down, so that the exhaust gas can be completely eliminated;
2. After the fume hood is used, the inside and outside of the cabinet should be wiped clean, and all switches and windows should be closed.

Fourth, matters needing attention
1. It is forbidden to conduct experiments in the fume hood when the fume hood is not opened;
2. It is forbidden to put your head into the fume hood to operate or check during the experiment;
3. It is forbidden to store or experiment with flammable and explosive materials in the fume hood;
4. It is forbidden to put the mobile power strip or wire in the fume hood;
5. It is forbidden to conduct experiments in which the organic substances prohibited by the state are mixed with high-chlorine compounds in the fume hood;
6. It is forbidden to place the tested substances in the fume hood for experiments without safety. Once the chemical substances are sprayed out, the power supply should be cut off immediately;
